Throughout the farm there are miles of trails that are available for horseback riding. All of our trails are thoroughly maintained and groomed to make them both easy to drive and ride. Below is a brief description of each trail. We hope you enjoy your ride.

Timber Harvest Trail

The Timber Harvest Trail was designed in 2002 to teach visitors the benefits of harvesting timber. This trail is very popular among skiers, runners and riders as for many reasons. The trail has slight grades which make it easier to use. In addition it is very wide and has long straight sections which make seeing ahead easy. There are many shortcuts and sections that take you to other trails. All of the shortcuts are marked which make navigating easy. This trail begins and ends at the top of the hill next to Mother's Orchard.

The Nature Trail

Our nature trail was opened to the public in the fall of l999. It is a third of a mile long and is very easy to ride. The trail is very wide which allows riders and drivers to navigate easily. It is adorned with a series of illustrated signboards that tell a different educational science story each season. Depending on which direction your ride or drive, there is a slight incline or decline.

The River Trail

Our second trail was opened in the fall of 2000. This trail is really beautiful because it runs along the Oyster River through the woods for 1 mile. There are several different sections you can choose to ride on but they all end up in the lower part of the farm. This trail is restricted to horseback riding only. The River Trail can be narrow in some areas but is extremely flat.
